WELCOME TO KORAL - YOUR GATEWAY TO SECONDHAND SHOPPING

At Koral, our mission is clear: We want to be a driving force in the transformation towards a more circular consumption culture.

Why did we create Koral?Koral was created because we think it takes too much time to find secondhand alternatives.

In Denmark alone, there are hundreds of platforms dealing with secondhand items. This means that in most cases, you can find either an exact match or, in almost all cases, a really good similar secondhand alternative. But if you have to search through several platforms, you quickly give up your search.

That's why we built Koral, so that as a consumer, you can easily check your secondhand options before buying new. This saves consumers money and contributes to a more efficient use of existing resources.

Who are we?

We are Lou, Jesper, and Nikolai. We have known each other for about 10 years and have always worked with development, e-commerce, and green transition.

And we are passionate secondhand buyers.

The idea came because new products are constantly being launched, making it even easier and smarter to buy new. We felt this perspective was missing in the secondhand market, and thus Koral was born.

HOW DOES IT WORK?Koral is your sidekick in the hunt for unique finds and secondhand opportunities. Use Koral to optimize your secondhand shopping and generally to consider your alternatives when the need arises for "new" things.

Koral collects listings from platforms like Gul & Gratis, Tise, DBA, Tradera, and Ebay. In total, we have 30 different resale platforms as part of the search.

For you as a user, this means that you can search across these platforms in one consolidated search, with both images and text.

Koral covers categories like furniture & interior, fashion, electronics, and much more. We are continuously expanding with ads from the individual platforms, and we also onboard new partnership providers on a monthly basis.

You can sign up for free as a user on Koral. This allows you to create search alerts, save favorites, and make collections that can be shared with friends and family.

WHY ARE WE CALLED KORAL?Beauty beneath the surface of the sea and well-used corals - the fascinating and colorful colonies that adorn the seabed.

The corals – the fascinating and colorful colonies that adorn the ocean floor. They hold a deeper symbolism that perfectly aligns with the essence and values of our brand.

In the old days, people used the expression "it's coral" when something was well-used. In the same way, we at Koral strive to create services that support and promote this very mindset. We want to maximize the lifespan of all the resources that already exist out there - whether it's furniture, clothing, electronics or something else. By making it easier and more attractive to buy used, we hope to inspire more people to participate in the circular economy. Every time we choose to give a used item a new life instead of buying new, we save valuable resources and contribute to reducing the burden on our planet. So when we say we are Koral, it is a promise to work towards a more circular future where we fully appreciate and utilize what already exists.
